Frequently asked

Prints, shipping, and original paintings. If the answer is not here, write info@lakeboundbookstore.com.

Prints

When are prints available?

Twice a year: a summer release in June and a winter release in December. Dates go out by email a few weeks ahead. The next drop is December 4, 2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern.

What is a timed release?

The edition stays open for a set window. Every order in that window is honored; the final edition size is the number sold.

What is a limited edition?

The number is fixed before the drop. These sell first-come, first-served and usually go quickly.

Are prints signed and numbered?

Yes. Paper prints are signed and numbered in the margin. The Prints also come with a Certificate of authentication.

Shipping & returns

When does my order ship?

Drop editions ship 8–12 weeks after the close of the sale.

If a print arrives damaged?

Photograph the box and the print, then write info@lakeboundbookstore.com within 7 days. We will replace it or refund. Signed prints are not returnable if you change your mind — they are made for you.

If an original arrives damaged?

Same: photographs within 7 days, then write info@lakeboundbookstore.com. We will make it right. Originals are not returnable otherwise — each painting leaves the studio once.

If the carrier loses a shipment?

Write info@lakeboundbookstore.com. We will work with the shipper and replace or refund.

Why the wait on drop editions?

Printing cannot start until the edition size is known. Each piece is then inspected, numbered, signed, and packed.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes. U.S. orders over $350 ship free. International orders may be charged duties by the carrier on delivery.

Can I change my address after I order?

Write info@lakeboundbookstore.com as soon as you know. We can hold or redirect a shipment if it has not already left.

Paintings & commissions

How do I inquire about an original?

Open the painting and send an inquiry, or write info@lakeboundbookstore.com with the title. Replies usually go out within two business days.

Do you take commissions?

Yes. Adirondack scenes, wildlife, coastal work, the Florida Keys, tropical pictures, or something personal — a camp, a shoreline, an animal you know. Start with a note on the contact page: place, season, and size if you have them.

Can I visit the studio?

The New York studio is open by appointment. Work is also shown at The Gallery at Lake Bound Bookstore.
