Christopher Goyer

Fine Art

Christopher Goyer is a self-taught oil painter working in Sand Lake, New York. The pictures are of places he knows: Adirondack mountains and lakes, wild animals at the edge of the woods, North Atlantic coast, and the Florida Keys — tropical water, mangroves, and heat.

The work is oil on canvas. Landscapes hold most of the studio; Keys and tropical scenes are painted with the same attention as a mountain morning.

Commissions are a large part of the practice. A camp, a stretch of water, an animal, a house on the Keys — if you can describe the place, it can be painted.

Originals and prints are sold through this studio. Work is also on view at The Gallery at Lake Bound Bookstore, 2867 NY-43, Averill Park, NY 12018. Print releases land twice a year, in June and December.
